SAVE COLD CASH WHILE KEEPING YOUR COOL! - Keep doors and windows closed when air conditioner is on.
- Pull shades over windows facing the sun.
- Insulate ( especially the attic ) and caulk air gaps
- Keep outside unit free of leaves and grass that obstruct airflow
- Keep AIR FILTER clean.
- Air filters -- The new pleated air filters are SO good that they trap twice as much dirt. Therefore they need to be replaced twice as often (I recommend every 30 days ) Let your furnace breath!
- Install a programmable thermostat
- Do hot jobs such as baking or washing in the mornings or evenings
